It’s been a challenging few months for our community; facing drought, bushfires, floods, and now the COVID-19 Pandemic. However, we are still working hard to provide services during this time. As such, we will be holding a bushfire recovery information session in your neighbourhood. This will be held on Tuesday 18 August 2020, 10am until 12.30pm at the Rolland’s Plains School of Arts.
During this session we will outline the range of important services and support that you can still access. There is a variety of assistance available including; financial grants, trauma and recovery support and mental health services. We will also introduce ourselves in person, to any of those we have not already met us, so that you will have important, future contact points.
The session will be facilitated by Julie King, Recovery Officer Rural Recovery Support Service – Mid Coast NSW Department of Primary Industries and Kate Macfarlane, Community Recovery Officer Port Macquarie Hastings Council and Resilience NSW (which is a newly appointed position dedicated to our local region).
Please be assured that we will ensure all our interactions and activities are COVID safe. Most importantly, we want you to know, we are still here for you. The COVID-19 Pandemic may change the way we do things, but it doesn’t change our commitment to supporting you. In times of uncertainty such as this, it is important that we look after ourselves. Thank you for your patience during these times of uncertainty and we look forward to connecting with you in person on Tuesday 18 August 2020, 10am until 12.30pm at the Rolland’s Plains School of Arts, 7 Upper Rollands Plains Road, Rollands Plains NSW 2441
