"Explore Local" Photography Competition
The TPCA is holding a local photography competition with the theme of discovering our local region. Over the school holidays (and before!) we’d love you to get out exploring the local area to photograph and showcase the great region we live in.
If you love photography and would like to showcase your talents, this is your chance. Portraits, action shots, close-ups, landscapes, night-sky photography etc all welcome. What activities do your family enjoy that the Telegraph Point region has to offer? Get creative with special effects and filters if that's your style. There are no limitations on the style, subject, or editing so long as your photograph was taken locally.
We'd love to see your boating adventures on the Wilson River, bushwalking explorations, your backyard creek, the kids' homemade BMX jumps, your favourite horse, freshly hatched chicks, Christmas beetles, or even your muddy boots if we get some more rain. The only restriction to the competition is that all photos must be family-friendly and taken within the broader Tele Point, Rollands Plains, Blackmans Point, Kundabung, Cairncross area (mapped area shown).
Prizes for 1st and 2nd place will be awarded in each category
- Under 13 years
- Ages 13 to 17
- Adults 18 and over
We have some wonderful community sponsors who have already confirmed prize donations. If your business would like to offer a prize, contact the TPCA to become a sponsor. Sponsors will still be able to submit a photo in the competition as all photos will be judged anonymously.
