Yard Maintenance Telegraph Point

Spring is here and everyone on the Mid North Coast has been busy tidying up their backyards, and doing their hazard reduction burns in case we have another hot summer.

While we might not be travelling much these holidays, we're in the best place in the world to enjoy the local area and our own backyards. Telegraph Point and the whole Port Macquarie - Hastings region is the perfect place for outdoor living. Re-vamping the garden and creating a new BBQ area, or setting up an outdoor bar, entertaining area, or family picnic table is a great way to start enjoying your own backyard.

To support local, there are a range of local businesses in Telegraph Point who are the best people to help get your backyard ready for summer.

If you're clearing out the weeds and looking for backyard inspiration to make the most out of your yard, Tony Mailo from Native Tree Care does home gardening, mulching, and landscaping. As a qualified arborist he can also help if you need trees trimmed or removed to clear the area around your house.

For garden mulch, Dinesh has bales of straw at the service station. But if you're doing a large area, a more affordable way to mulch or lay down weed cover is to get a large bale or two delivered from Paul Sherd Bale Silage. As well as pasture silage, he also delivers the huge bales for mulch which will give you a generous coverage area around the vegie patch and your garden at a cheaper price.

Once you've got the garden under control, you need some new timber outdoor furniture. Turner’s Tables has been a local family business for almost 30 years selling their custom timber tables in Wauchope and Port Macquarie.

Turner's Tables usually sells their furniture and timber tables all up and down the coast at local markets, regional home shows, and ag fairs. But with Covid-19 restrictions, the cancellation of all the major markets means their usual way of reaching customers is on hold. If you're in the market for quality, well made, 100% local timber furniture, talk to Neil.

Neil Turner specialises in outdoor timber table settings with seating from 2 seaters up to 16 seaters. As well as a full range of custom timber bars, rustic outdoor bush furniture, coffee tables, corner seating, garden benches, love nest swings, Jack n Jill garden seats, planter boxes, boot storage boxes, side tables, portable bars on casters, and anything else you need. If you have ideas for a unique piece of furniture for your backyard, give Neil a call on 0412 937 735.

Turner's Tables custom timber furniture is made from recycled or plantation timber that is sourced locally. The majority of their timber tables and outdoor settings are built from structural grade, local Blackbutt that has been kiln dried to withstand the Mid North Coast's varying weather conditions.

Neil has some pre-made tables and furniture displayed and available for sale at their property at Cooperabung. But the majority of his work is custom built to order. He can also deliver direct to your backyard throughout the region including Rollands Plains, Kundabung, Port Macquarie, Wauchope, and surrounds.

Great article Michelle. Really like how you incorporated the local businesses. I have had Tony remove and prune my trees. Very professional. Also neighbours have been using bales of hay from Paul for years. Loved checking out Neil’s workmanship at the last market’s, extremely well built, would definitely out last me.
